As a musician, Marc learned his trade playing guitar for various pop acts before founding an originals 4 piece called 'Maria Smiles' - an exciting band fusing 3 part vocal harmonies with blues, african, soul and rock grooves. His musical career has given him the opportunity to play big stages, castles, festivals, pubs, clubs and churches and even historical monuments!

As Marc's sense of spirituality deepened, he began writing songs inspired by his relationship with God - songs of hope, worship and faith. Songs of encouragement, intimacy and trust. Marc's first album 'Closer' captured his early songwriting in an unplugged, natural, acoustic style.

The album, praised by piers, reviewers and audiences alike, has received airplay around the world and continues to bring listeners to this day, in touch with a sense of God's presence. The follow up album, 'Hiding Place' brought together some of the best musicians, singers, engineers and producers from around the world. The album blends jazz, blues, gospel, prog-rock, ambient, celtic and chilled musical styles, in a stunning huge production, 14 track album, that seamlessly flows from one great song to another.

When not playing his own original music, Marc B Chapman gigs with popular covers band Inside Edge, undertaking lead vocal and guitar duties, playing to audiences and loyal fans the length and breadth of the country.

Marc also enjoys producing in the studio. His extensive musical experience has enabled him to produce live and studio albums, demos and promo tracks in rock, blues, soul, folk, worship and roots genres. Marc enjoys nothing more than helping arrange, record and produce other people's music, to help bring out the best in the artist's ideas and compositions.
